Embracing My Inner Bat

Wow! Thanks for your responses yesterday. Lots of good information in there I need to sort out. I even got one telephone call from a Facebook friend with the name of a product I should try.

But the most helpful thing of all is knowing that friends care. And it looks like a lot of you know exactly what I'm going through. Maybe we just have to keep a sense of humor and let Maxine be our guide. I vow here and now to stop taking it all so seriously. So I'm a little batty. Life is still good. I love y'all.

Got a lot done yesterday after all, at least a lot for me. I sewed binding on one quilt, did three loads of laundry, and cut out all the squares for my Quilt of Valor for the VA retirement home. I even got the squares arranged on my design wall.

Todays plans: make Andy and Jesse a pot of chili, complete the binding of that quilt, do one more load of laundry, take the dogs for a walk (we missed yesterday's walk with all the rain).

Before I go, here are a few Skipper pics for your viewing pleasure. Skipper likes to sleep covered--either under his little doggie bed, under the covers on my bed, or snuggled inside a pillow case with the pillow. I have tried several times to catch him on camera inside the pillow case. This is as close as I've come. By the time I get back to the bed with the camera, he's usually out.

Glad to hear you're feeling well enough to get a few things done! I'm sure being able to accomplish some chores AND get binding on a quilt has to lift your spirits! Skipper is so adorable! How can you resist that little face??

Glad you feel a wee bit better. It has to be so hard dealing with that.
I love that Skipper sleeps in a pillow case. How funny? Do both dogs sleep with you. Our little one does. We tried having the Springer sleep with us but he want to sleep inbetween us on a pillow. He is shedding so badly. I think he sleeps better in his bed as well.

I'm so glad you're feeling better! It looks like little Skipper is like me, we like to wake up sloooooowly. :)

Keep feeling better, Susan. And, don't worry about the "brain thing". I have it, too, but I just let it go.

My little Murphy Brown used to sleep inside the pillow case, too. I sure miss her.

Well done on all you accomplished yesterday! Where do you do the hand sewing of the binding? I try to avoid cat hair which is impossible.

Love your new attitude about the fibro fog. Angels can fly because they take themselves lightly (or so I've read) so perhaps we need to lighten up, too.

Skipper it too cute! Does he get himself into the pillowcase? Love the s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g picture!

Hugs!

Skipper seems to be one contented pup.

I'm always two seconds too late for the best Cooper picture. I've never heard of a dog getting inside a pillowcase, sounds like something a cat would do! Skipper has really found his home. Don't over do!

Our kitty also likes to sleep covered or at least sheltered. I caught her napping in my weed bucket outside yesterday but didn't have my camera in hand.

Skipper is so cute. I have a Skippy and he likes to sleep covered up too, 95% of the time. He's usually under the covers snuggled close to my daughter. I don't know how he can breathe down there!

You are a ROCK STAR! But don't get tooooo carried away, Ms. Rock Star! Do what you can comfortably do, then do a lil' extra. But don't OVERDO! As for Skipper, he is a hoot! I've seen cats tuck themselves away in the oddest places, but Skipper is the first doggy I've seen doing that! EXTRA CUTE! (Ms. Sophie, you KNOW I'm not forgetting YOU! You will forever be my first doggy love!)
