We had a great time at bee yesterday, learning to make zipper flower pins. Cyndi was our leader. She brought the pins (below) that she had made to show us before we began.
Doris wore her zipper pin (below) that she had made with her art-quilt group.
I finished two pins (after I got home), and you can see them in the two photos below. I felt a little fumble-fingered with this craft, so I likely won't make more of these. But it was fun to learn something new. And Cyndi is a great teacher.
There are several methods for making these pins. Some involve looping, some gathering, some cutting your zipper tape into lengths. Go to Google and type in "zipper flower tutorial," and you should find some instructions. I've listed a few links below that have zipper flower tutorials.

What pretty pins!! These zipper pins can be made in such a delightful variety of shapes, too. I will have to try this as I think DS1's sweetie would enjoy having one or more of them. Thanks for the tutorial links.
