The rain started yesterday afternoon, got harder during the night, and continues this morning. Some places around here have had five and six inches of the stuff. Not sure how much we've had here in the 'hood, but I'm thinking of setting a trot line out in my back yard. (Don't know what a trot line is? Go here.)
Old Skipper, he ran right out this morning and did his business, dodging all his holes that have now turned into mini-lakes. But Sophie? That dog will not go out until it either stops raining or she's 15 seconds away from popping. I've never seen a dog that hates to get wet like she does.
Rain as it might, though, I have an appointment this afternoon for a mammogram redo and an ultrasound, so I'll have to drive the 17 miles to Brookwood--if I can get through.
The doctor's office called me last week and told me that my mammogram a couple of weeks ago showed an "asymmetry" in the upper right section of my right breast. I told the person who called me that was the area in which I had had a biopsy several years ago (which information should be in my file). She said that was probably what was showing up. But in the tradition of "better safe than sorry," I'm going for the redo.
I spent almost the whole day yesterday working on binding "Two By Two," the Noah's ark quilt. I used the striped rainbow fabric for binding and had decided it would look better if I cut bias binding instead of straight grain. But my mind wandered, and I had 250 inches of straight-grain binding before I realized my error. I almost decided to use it, but after a ginger ale and some regrouping, I started over and made the bias binding. Now I have to add a label and the hanging sleeve, and that quilt will be ready to hang in our church nursery, at last. Pictures to come on Friday UFO Report.
Stay dry everyone

Glub, glub!
I'd ask that my old mammo films be compared to the new ones, along with the biopsy note to save yourself that trip in the rain.
What colorful quilt will get those lovely 250" of straight grain rainbow stripe binding?!
Stay safe and be good to you!
Hugs!

I didn't know you'd had a biopsy! They look at my lumps with ultrasound.
Of course you'll save that binding. Don't throw away anything you've spent time cutting.
The flood water was up to the bottom step in my basement this morning. Wurra, wurra!

Yep, I had a biopsy in about 95 or 96. Can't remember for sure. In the same place where they see the "asymmetry." They're also going to do an ultrasound today after the mammo.
When I had the biospy, they had done the mammo and the ultrasound and still couldn't tell what it was. Turned out to be just a benign cyst. I've been through this type of thing so many times, I don't worry any more till I find out what's happening.
No, I won't throw the binding away. I'll use it on a cuddle quilt or something.

Oh, I hope everything turns out all right with the mammogram. I have to get one next week. Hate the darned things. But you gotta do them.

I'm hoping for good results from your redo. I have had to have quite a few redos, too. Fortunately, I got good marks on the mammogram I had last week.
