One of my favorite things to do in the early evening is sit down at my jigsaw puzzle or on the sofa with the doggies, tune in "Sanford and Son," and rest for an hour or so. Racist and grumpy though he be, I love Fred Sanford. He's one of the funniest tv characters ever.
In spite of all the verbal abuse of his son Lamont and sister-in-law Esther, in spite of his contempt for Asians ("Chinese food make me burp."), Latinos ("Get that goat out of here!"), and ugly white people, down deep--way, way down deep--he's really an old teddy bear. I love Fred G. Sanford.

Today is G Day. Not my favorite day of the year, btw. That would be Fall Back Day. You know? That day that used to come the last Sunday in October when we get a whole extra hour. That Day is still around, but politicians keep monkeying with it, and now I never know when it's coming.
Anyway, but today is G Day. I skipped G Day last year, the first time I have skipped it since I was a young lass. With what all else I was dealing with last year, I just didn't feel like adding yet another aggravation.
So I thought I'd better not skip G Day this year. So I won't. Trouble is, the fibro stiffness has progressed a lot in the last two years. I'm not quite sure I can get my feet up in those things this time. And I'm not looking forward to the mammy-gramming either. Don't I have enough pain already?

All you UFO Busters, remember that tomorrow is Progress Report Day for us. Mr. Linky should be up and running early tomorrow morning for you to enter your blog link. I hope everyone has been busy and has lots of progress to report. Because I don't have any. And I'm not likely to make any today--this being G Day and all.

Ugh! I know just what you mean. I think we all dread G day. It seems I've been having more G days lately than I prefer, and M day is next Monday for me.

I hear you! I'm past due on both and am hanging my head.
UFO update was just sent to you and it's not an earthshaking report. Still, shrea, shrea (one thing at a time).
Today I'm going from freezing to overheated so suspect it's malaria - or not!
On your way home today, where shall you stop and shop to reward yourself for being a good girl?!
Big hugs!

I bribe myself for all yucky appointments. I get to buy myself something nice after the appointment. This year I got some quilt related books after G day. I've got to go back for another mammogram - they want "more views," whatever that means. But ... I get to buy something else afterward. I've already started shopping!

I am headed there on Monday. I dread it so much. I hope yours went good. But I feel your pain.
