YoYo-ing

Yo1

Last night, I made pink yoyos to use to embellish some purchased bedroom slippers for The Pink Slipper Project. If you haven't visited this site, please take a minute to do so. Lots going on over there. With the holidays approaching, there's even more need for slippers. You'll find all kinds of ideas on the site for making slippers. You'll also find some patterns for both sewn and knitted slippers, as well as a pattern for a fun rag Christmas stocking

Yo2

I love making yoyos, now that I have a collection of Clover YoYo Makers. Before these handy dandy little gadgets, making yoyos was one of my least favorite things in the world to do. It was tedious work. But it's fun now.

Must get back to work now. So much to do and so little time to do it. I just realized that the holidays are HERE!

They are fun, aren't they? And they come in so many shapes now. Love the slippers.

How PRETTY!!!!! I didn't KNOW there was a yoyo making gadget! I need to get one because SEWING them by HAND hurts! What's it called, please ma'am, that gadget?

Cute yo-yos! I'll have to check out the gizmo, too.

Lovely rainy day here and I've made the needed quarter triangle blocks for DS1's quilt! More half square triangles and side center units and I'll be putting the blocks together!

Hugs!

Oh Susan, can you do a tutorial on how you make the yo yos and attach them to the slippers? I am so jazzed to do those for Christmas gifts now that I have seen yours!

Generous lady that you are, making something for someone else. You are a wonderful example of giving.

I use to make yo-yos back when I was still quilting. I ended up covering the front of a muslin pillow that sits in the little black chair with my white teddy bear. (About CM, yeah, the red hair is a bit jarring.)
