"I never used to get in trouble all the time till Skipper came here." --Sophie
"Ah, bite me." --Skipper
This exchange took place after Skipper and Sophie chased neighbor Brad's tabby cat halfway across the neighborhood this morning, with me in hot pursuit. They both got a thump on the butt and a "Bad Dog!" Sophie swears it was all Skipper's fault. She said when she heard him utter those two little words, "Chase cat!" she just lost her mind and didn't know what she was doing. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I have been scarce in Blogland this week, I know. What with dogs and friends and church and family and aches and pains, blogging has sort of taken a back seat.
I just finished making enough mashed potatoes to feed 25 youts (youth) and delivering it to the church. Before that, it was shopping at Wal-Mart, and before that it was chasing Sophie and Skipper through the neighborhood.
Last night, I went with some girlfriends for dinner at Macaroni Grill and then to see the movie "Eat, Pray, Love." I had the most wonderful chicken parmesan for dinner. The movie started out slowly I thought, but it got better. And by the end, I was crying. It's a chick movie, for sure. But most chicks should enjoy it.
We've had lots of good rain here this week. The lawns are looking green again. But the rain hasn't helped the heat much. Just made for more humidity. My glasses steam up every time I go outside.
Well, Frick and Frack (Soph and Skip) are whining to go outside. I guess they want me to prove that my glasses actually do fog up. I'll try to be a better blogger in the days ahead.

Susan, pleased you enjoyed the movie. I have just requested the book from our local library as I am wanting to read it. I have heard so much about this womans journey.

I'm GLAD to know you have been busy and not really ill or anything! Oooooooh! Sophie, you have to teach Skipper to be a good doggy like YOU! I know he IS good - just not quite as refined as you are yet! He'll get there! Susan, I think I may go see that movie myself! I'm a Julia Roberts fan anyway! Wish I could have gone with YOU! Love you!

Hi there! I missed you and am glad to hear you've been busy in good ways. Okay, the mashed potatoes for a cast of thousands, not so much. The pursuit for two erring four-legged furry kids, not at all!
Love the photos and captions!
We've had great rain, too. For much of the last 24 hours, it's been downpours followed by drizzles followed by nice, gentle, normal rain. Lovely. The dense, water-logged humid air after the rain has been far less lovely.
Hugs!

I read your blog every day, but this is the 1st time I have actually said any ting. I am glad you are ok, I was worried. The rain is good, but I don't miss the humidity,(I used to live at Ft. Benning. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Hope

There's never a dull moment at your house Susan! I'm glad to hear you liked the movie as I'd like to see it, although it will no doubt take a while to make it over to Switzerland. I loved the book although at times it was a little 'me,me,me'. I heard Julia Roberts converted to Hinduism while in India. A lot of the yoga things make sense to me, but I don't think I could ever go for snake headed and many-headed gods...I guess it takes all sorts!

I want to see that movie. Glad you liked it. I have heard mixed reviews on it. I usually ignore those anyway. Hmmmmm, the doggies are ganging up on you. Good luck with those foggy glasses.
