Rainy and cold again this morning. I don't even have to say what that means for my body pain, stiffness, etc. Not to mention my dog, who is curled up on the back of her sofa refusing to go outside for potty time.
So if she can do it, so can I. I've decided to grab the quilt in the photo and snuggle up on my sofa with my book. Baking can wait till tomorrow or the next. The quilt is one my mama made, all by hand, for Vann years ago. Don't those 80s calicos take you back?
And speaking of backs (oh boy, can I do a segue up right?), mine isn't much better. I'm using the heating pad and refraining from lifting anything heavier than a quilt block. I'm hoping another day on the heating pad will get me moving briskly again. Who am I kidding? It has been so long since I've moved briskly, I can hardly remember what that means.
Only one more week till Christmas. I hope all of you have got all your shopping, cleaning, wrapping, etc., done and can sit back, watch a shmarmy Christmas movie or listen to some songs of the season and relax. Happy Yule (emphasis on the Yu) Week everyone.

I wish I was doing the same (minus the backache). What a nasty drive in to work this morning - YUCK! We missed you last night at dinner but the ladies understand and are praying you well! Love you, LBJ

Susan! My dogs would not go outside no matter what I did. They were so anxious to go to the bathroom, doing their little dance in front of the door, and when I opened it they just stared at the rain and then scooted right back inside. Oh well. Hope your back feels better soon. Cozy up, today's weather calls for it. Hope you have some hot tea or chocolate to keep you company.

What a lovely quilt to snuggle under. I have a soft spot for Grandmothers Flower Garden.
Hope you're feeling better tomorrow.

Just caught up with your recent blogs. Everyone has their own fix for backaches, but do you ever try ice? And even alternating heat and ice? That's a sports medicine remedy that has worked for me lots and lots of time. We keep ice pacs in freezer 24/7. Love that puppy block for your guild challenge. Hope to see all the blocks when they are revealed. Keep cozy.

I love the quilt, too. A quilt is my favorite comfort when I am cold or don't feel good. I hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself!

Beautiful quilt. Here's hoping that a day curled up on the couch with the heating pad will have you feeling much better tomorrow.

Oh! My grandmother had a quilt like that on the bed in her extra room! I look at that and it brings back a VERY happy memory! You & Sophie-dog just snuggle away! And BAH, HUMBUG to back pain! Feel better, sweet girl! LOVE YOU! P.S. Speaking of Bah, humbug, I am planning on seeing my favorite version of Scrooge this evening! I LOOOOVE that old movie!

Playing catchup today since yesterday was spent getting ready for snow and wrapping gifts.
I love the quilt your mama made and love that you're wrapped in her love and Vann's as you cuddle up. Hope your back feels better. Have you tried muscle relaxers like Flexaril when your back is hurting?
The snow started late yesterday afternoon and we have about 8" on the ground now. It's still snowing and blowing. Love it since I can stay home and stay cozy!
Hugs!
