After we spent the morning rearranging and reconfiguring the bedroom (and totally destroying the rest of the house), we've got him home.
Gene helped Phillip move our big old king-size bed into the basement and move in a twin bed, that Gene had in his attic. Then the home health people delivered the adjustable bed, shower chair, and other goodies shortly after Vann got home. Then our home nurse came and stayed with us for a couple of hours, asking and answering questions and giving us tons of information.
Andy, Amy, and Phillip were here during the nurse visit. And Gene, Nolan, Paul, and Ashleigh all visited before the nurse came. Lori stopped by for a second to deliver some cards. We're all exhausted, especially poor Vann.
No time or energy to talk more. Got to go see about Vann then settle down for a while.

Happy happy joy joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome home, Vann! Happy dancing with you, Susan! I know Sophie has been all over the place with happiness and has probably wagged her tail right off!
Cheers for family and friends who can move furniture, who deliver love in envelopes and casserole dishes, and who help do whatever needs to be done.
So glad you have reinforcements to make this all work out well for Vann and for you.
Do you have two twin sized quilts in your closet or do you need to make two immediately?
Happy hugs!

Did you hear that? It SOUNDED like a WOLF howling! But it was just ME, hollering, "WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!" Susan, I'm SO happy! I know you AND Vann will rest a thousand times better TOGETHER. Do remember to get some rest for yourself because even if you aren't necessarily doing anything physically heavy, all the changes and things will wear you out. My heart sings for you both this morning! I LOVE YOU!

Each morning I visit your site, praying for great news! Well, this is great news; I am sure Vann will be more comfortable at home, and you will be more settled without having to travel back and forth from the hospital. I will continue to pray for you and your husband!
