Blogging Interrupted

6a00e54f14327c8834011571446090970c-500wi The ladies over at Marie-Madelaine Studios are giving away this beautiful quilt made from Jennifer Paganelli fabrics. I think these are some of the most gorgeous fabrics I've ever seen and I'm even now making plans to acquire some of the fabric if I don't win the quilt.

I haven't had much time for blogging this week. Life at The Yellow House has entered a new phase of busy. Most days, one chore leads to the next with little time in between. We do seem to have a break today. Things are moving slowly this morning.

Vann and I spent most of Sunday at the emergency room. Vann had been feeling so bad for several days that he couldn't eat, could hardly walk, was having constant severe pain, and was having some other problems best not discussed in mixed company. We finally called his doctor and was advised to go the the ER. After a series of blood tests, xrays, and a CT scan told us our worst fears were unfounded, we felt much better. It appears that the new chemo is the culprit. Some new meds and a brighter outlook have made Vann feel much better. He had the best night last night that he has had in weeks.

Carrie (Phillip's wife) got in on Friday. It has been so nice having Phillip here for an extended stay, and now it's even better with Carrie around (dividing her time between us and her family who live just down the road from us).

More happy news: I was one of the winners in the Charming Girls Quilt Club drawing, a $25 gift certificate to Kelly's great online shop. Thanks, Kelly. What great fun Charming Girls is turning out to be.

I have made little progress on my August Charming Girls project yet. But I did get the blocks laid out on the design wall, ready for stitching together.

My tummy is making wild animal sounds so I think I'll go and feed it some Frosted Mini Wheats. I think that's what it's asking for. Hope all you beautiful bloggers out there are having a terrific Tuesday.

You are right, the Jennifer Paginelli fabrics are gorgeous--and so "you"!
What a shame that things got so bad on Saturday you had to go to the ER. Glad to hear there has been some strong improvement in the way Vann is feeling.
Enjoy your houseguests and congrats on winning a prize from Charming Girls.

What a lovely quilt Susan- the fabrics are scrumptious to look at.
So glad to hear that Vann is feeling much better and that it was just a medication problem. Hope that he continues to feel stronger every day.
Will look forward to seeing your new projects. Have fun with your loved ones.
Warmest regards,
Anna

Congratulations on your win at the Chaming Girls Quilt Club. Your bundt cake quilt was quite Charming. I do hope Vann is feeling better, it must have been quite scarey for you.

Hi Susan,
Nurse me was concerned your absence was due to Vann feeling crummy and I'm sorry things were so miserable that the ER was needed. Thanks be to God there wasn't anything worse going on and that new meds have been of such help. Hugs to you both!

Am glad you're both now able to enjoy your family visit, that you can enjoy the news of your win, and that the delicious and joy-joy fabrics have carried you away!

That quilt photo isn't helping my resolve to not buy more fabric ....

More hugs!

Congrats on your win, but more importantly glad to hear Vann's chemo was the issue and not something worse. I hope he feels better.
