Last Day

Ben and Susan left to go home this morning. Phillip and Carrie are up the beach kayaking. This is our last full day here. We leave tomorrow. Vann and I will be glad to see Sophie. We've had a very relaxing surfside vacation, and look forward to coming back next spring.

On Saturday, I think it was, we made our annual excursion to Quilting By the Bay. This little shop is packed full of quilting goodies. I bought a Patisserie jelly roll and a few fat quarters. Didn't really go off the deep end spending this time. Below are a few photos from the shop:

Afternoon thunderstorms have been frequent visitors this week. But none of them has lasted long. Below is a photo of one that circled around us.

Sorm cloud

Now back to my book. I'm reading I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb.

Hi Susan!

What a great vacation spot to while away a week here and a week there. Perfect! And all the better to have a delicious quilt shop near-by!!!!! Great photos of the shop and applause and admiration for your self-restraint.

Love the storm picture! That is amazing.

Have a safe trip home and back to Sophie!

Hi Susan,
I could sit on the beach forever and it would be the best vacation just to relax. Your pictures just makes me want to go. Such a thoughtful gift to leave behind and I know how many hours was in it.

Sounds like paradise to me!
I have to say: that afghan you made is stunning! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who takes a year to make one, LOL!
