Lazy Rainy Afternoon

37

30 LIMERICKS IN 30 DAYS

Limerick #5
A gangster we knew once from Foley
Shot up his boss good and holey.
When the deed he had done
He threw down the gun
And said, "Leave the gun; take the cannoli."

We went to church this morning and heard our choir perform magnificently a beautiful Easter cantata. Afterwards, Greg and Lori treated us to a nice Mexican lunch at El Cazador. So now I'm not good for much of anything except couch potato-ing. I planned to do some more work in the sewing room this afternoon, but the couch is just too comfy. I spent most of yesterday in the sewing room and have some things to show for it, but I'm not up to lifting the camera. Tomorrow maybe.

See yesterday's post if you think you might be interested in a May Day basket swap.

I'm loving your limericks! And I'm having El Cazador leftovers for dinner myself this evening.

Love, love, love your limericks. Here's my contribution.

There was a gal from Leeds
Whose life was full of good deeds.
She was known far and wide
As someone with nothing to hide
Except her yard full of weeds.

It rained here in Huntsville all weekend. Now, of course, it is cold. We even had a wee bit of sleet tonight, though it was barely noticeable. God bless you. I'm glad you had a wonderful Palm Sunday.

Good morning!

Hope you're feeling good today and are able to post those pictures of your creative Saturday!

I love the idea of the May basket swap and the ideas that came to my mind, but alas, I think this May I cannot play (rhymes!). There is just too much on my schedule with 3 birthdays, our anniversary (37th!), taxes, out of town company, AMIL's medical appointments, sleeping, and breathing. My house is also still a disaster since I was sick for most of a month. I need "away" places for everything. Any ideas or suggestions? All welcome!

Hugs!

It is good to have a couch potato day once in awhile.
