I Heart Blogging

I Heart Blogging There are so many reasons why blogging is one of my favorite activities. But rather than make a list, I'd like to concentrate on the biggest reason why I "heart" blogging--all the great friends I've met that I would never have known if I hadn't begun this web log.

Whoever says you can't really get to know another person over the internet never met my blogging buddies. Just sitting here thinking about all of you makes me smile. The support and love you've sent out through cyberspace to me and Vann gives us strength, hope, and courage. And as Vann's health continues to improve, you celebrate with us--it's just like one big internet party.

When I first planned to write this post, I thought I would mention all of you and include links to your blogs, but I realize that would be many, many links and too long a post. Just look to the right sidebar for my buddies' blog links. I'm adding to that list all the time, so check back often.

But I do want to mention one particular blogging buddy as an example of how loving and supporting our blog community is. A year or so ago, the area of Alabama where I live experienced a severe tornado outbreak. The Yellow House was spared as was my entire community. The next morning, I received a call from Molly, who lives in Texas, just checking to see that we were all right. I had never talked to Molly before, except by way of blogging. But she cared enough to check on us. That's how I've found all of you to be. And I thank you all from the very depths of my heart--and so do Vann and Sophie.

Now according to Typepad, I'm supposed to tag five of you to post on your blogs why you love blogging. If you do so, Typepad will post a link HERE. But I'm not going to tag just five of you; I'm going to tag all of you. If you want to play along, just write on your blog about why you like blogging. Go to the Typepad link to see some examples if you like and a copy of the "I Heart Blogging" image to include with your post.

Edited: CROCHETED HEARTS, For those who asked for instructions

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to you and all those you love.

I have no blog of my own but I agree about the wonderful world of internet communities and friends. I cannot think I'd have that much to say to fill a blog, but perhaps I would!

Love your many wonderful hearts!

Happy Valentine's Day to you, Vann, and Sophie!

I just wanted to stop in and check on you. I love to visit your blog. I don't always leave a comment but I do pray for you. I agree that there is something special about blogging. 1 of my grown children actually thinks I am silly because I have a blog but I love it and I love the friends that I have made too. Happy Valentines Day!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO YOU, VANN, AND SOPHIE! I agree wholeheartedly with you about how wonderful bloggers are & how so many of us become true friends! It's funny because about three hours ago, I was TALKING about you to my housemate - saying what a precious & genuine person you are! I truly WAS! I like the idea of writing about why we love to blog. That will be my next post! And thank you so much for the tutorial for the beautiful hanging hearts! You & Vann exchange hugs from me, okay? LOVE YOU!

Susan and Vann, The world is a better place with this little community of bloggers in it I quite agree and you are part of that special family and the world is a wonderful place with you in it. It is wonderful the caring and support we are all able to give each other when needed and in return the inspiration and strength to strive ahead in all the we do and have to deal with in everyday lives. Be happy, smile always, you are part of a wider family and we love you both and send much joy, laughter and smiles to cheer up the sad days and make the great days shine brighter.

Happy Valentines! I love your dried flower wreath. I agree with what you said about getting to know friends through blogging. It seems like a hard-to-understand concept but it does happen. Times have changed and the way we meet like-minded people has changed with them.

Your crocheted hearts are just beautiful. I downloaded the tutorial...add it to my things to do list. Thank you for sharing this. I revisited all of your altered playing cards and enjoyed them so much. I am amazed at what you have come up with for them. Looking forward to seeing your work on them continue soon.
