I finished knitting this scarf this morning. I have a specific purpose for it, but I'm not at liberty to say what yet.
Vann's laproscopy will be tomorrow instead of today. That news came after he had fasted from midnight last night until 8:30 or so this morning. No early morning coffee.
We thank you, friends, and continue to pray for you. We always knew we had friends, but the outpouring of love and friendship (both in person, by phone, and from cyberspace) that we've experienced recently has about bowled us over--including an unbelievably inspiring and uplifting service at church yesterday. Please continue to pray. Those prayers are the wheels that are going to carry us through. We love you all.
Ooops! Almost forgot to say that Phillip is coming in this afternoon. In fact, he's about to board a plane in Denver in about an hour.
UPDATE: Phillip just arrived safe and sound. Don't know who was gladder to see him: his dad, me, or Sophie. I can say that Sophie put on the biggest show though.

Yea! More time for Phil & Vann to just spend together :D Goodness knows they miss each other.
That will definitely lift Vann's spirits.

If there's one thing that holds me back from medical testing, it's fasting. I HATE fasting! Poor Vann...frankly, I think they owe him a cup of coffee.
Hope all turns out well!

Lovely scarf - gorgeous colors. My best to Vann during this time. We know all to well the waiting and anticipating the answers - be they what we expect or what we are surprised by (and when the surprise is good the relief we feel)
I am just waiting for the good news and I know tears will flow and happiness will seem like a brand new thing.

Keeping you close in prayer. I enjoy knitting as it is easy to knit and pray at the same time.

Hey Susan - Great blog! I enjoyed looking at the projects keeping you busy. I'm sorry to hear about Vann's problems - but I agree, God can heal all. I'll be praying for you guys - please let me know if there is anything I can do. I'm in Denver - and wish I was going somewhere for the Thanksgiving holiday! It's supposed to snow...ugh. Hang in there! Hugs, Katherine
