Neither Vann nor I feels very good this weekend, so we've stayed inside most of the time. Vann has walking pneumonia, which I think is a very strange name for a malady. And I have walking fibromyalgia, I guess. I did get a few things done while holed up.
Here's triangle #3 for my Halloween triangle banner.
Some of you have expressed interest in how I made these. I looked around on the internet for a tutorial for triangle banners and can't find one. It's really pretty simple though.
Maybe I'll take photos and write a tutorial as I make the next triangle. As I said, it's really simple.
I made this banner for a cupcake-theme swap, and I was hooked. It's so much fun making them that I want to make one for every occasion. Christmas is next.
I also worked on the next two altered playing cards this weekend, numbers 35 and 36 (photo at bottom). Only a few more and I'll have a whole deck of altered playing cards that I've done this year.
Last night we watched the Bama/Georgia game. We are a house divided when Georgia plays the Crimson Tide. Vann, a Georgia grad, is an avid Bulldogs fan, and I of course am a Bama fan from way back. Since Georgia was ranked #2 and had a chance at number one if they won the game and a bunch of other teams lost, I felt like I could live with whatever the results of the game were. (But deep down, I really, I mean realllllly, wanted Bama to win.) They did. And today, Bama is ranked #2. I tried not to cheer too much though, knowing that Vann was grieving with his team--and also I love that Uga dog so much.

Oh my goodness! You guys need some chicken soup in a bad way don't you? I'm sorry that yall are sick.
It makes me wonder about my summer of the nasty cough though. I came down with a really harsh virus in mid-July and have only just been over my cough for about 10 days maybe. It was bad, I coughed so hard I thought it would cause a heart attack. Now I have irritated nasal passages and typical allergy stuff but no cough, thank God!
That triangle is my favorite so far, just cute! I did a teensy bit of Halloween crafting today but it involved glitter and cardboard, lol.
We have a divided house on occasion too. I'm a Sooner, didn't finish my degree(both my parents graduated from there though), and Mark's a Longhorn though he attended Stephen F. Austin and not UT. He's got all the kids rooting against me for some reason. That game is weekend after next. I must find a crimson something to show my support.*G*

I trust you and Vann are both taking your meds. I really sympathize with you both, specially Vann because I remember last fall when I had what the dr. called "asthmatic bronchitis"--you took me to the doctor, remember? He had given me a pneumonia shot couple of years ago, so he couldn't call it pneumonia. It was a miserable week or so. Hope you both feel better already.

What a great triangle love the Autumn fabrics.Sounds like you have been very busy.

I'm so sorry to hear you and Vann weren't feeling well and hope you are okay now! "Walking Pneumonia" has the sound of a 50s B Horror flick, like "The Crawling Eye," doesn't it? ("Walking Fibromyagia" is more like an American Internation film from the 70s.)
I love that triangle! You're so talented, the way you mix up fabrics.
My 'box' for the swap is coming along nicely, btw!

Hope you're both feeling better after a week-end's rest. Love the banners!
Goooo Bama! (Sorry Vann). I had to watch the game by myself - no one else was home! I think the neighbors heard me. But, you're right that little dog is a cutie! Roll Tide!

Feel better, you guys. Walking pneumonia is no fun. Neither is walking fibromyalgia. Holing up on the couch is a good idea. Stay with that.

Don't tell Vann, but I was pulling for Bama, too.

I just love your banners you make. I still havent tried to make one. But you give me inspiration. I can finally get some sleep, I have finished reading "the 13th tale." It was a really good book. Lots of twists and turns. I just couldnt put it down. Loved the suprising ending. Have you read any similar books like that? Hope you and hubby are feeling better.

I hope everybody feels better now.
Did you know that walking pneumonia is called such because it is very similar to pneumonia, but you normally don't have a fever and the other symptoms aren't as severe so you're not bedridden? You're able to walk around, therefore it's called walking pneumonia. Also because of it's less-severe symptoms it can be pretty dangerous because people think they're not very sick and let it go for longer without seeing a doctor.
Did I make all this up in my head? I think that is the actual reason for calling it "walking pneumonia".
