The Yellow House has been the scene of much activity today. The siding guys continue to put on YH's new duds, the cleaning ladies were here all morning, and the tree cutting guys came to take down three trees damaged by lightening earlier in the month. Phew! I'm ready for some peace and quiet.
All the siding is done except for the front of the house. The dormers are going to be so pretty, with white fish scale scallops on top and regular siding (clapboard like on the rest of the house) from the top of the windows down. The area behind the front porch on either side of the front door is going to be Wicker-colored shakes. I'll have close-up photos of all of this once it's done.

Ah...so much commotion, but how exciting to have a "new look" to your home. You won't know what to do with all the quiet once everyone leaves..hmmm....a nap maybe?

Sheesh! I'd be nutso w/all that going on at once......noise bugs me worse the older I get.Can't wait to see your "newly dressed" Yellow House!Sure sorry you lost trees; be sure to plant three more to take their place!I'll bet Sophie has been busy keeping her house safe from all the strangers!Get you both some ear plugs and take naps 'til they're all done!
