Not a good week, so far. Vann reminded me that the full moon is right around the corner, then he told me to ignore it.
Vann also got me a big ol' bottle of B complex vitamins. Someone who has done two tours in Afghanistan told him that's what the military gives people to ward off aches and pains. It's sure worth a try. Anybody know anything about B vitamins for fibromyalgia or chronic pain and fatigue?
BTW, Vann says many, many thanks for all your messages of concern about his injury. His wrist is much better now. The swelling is almost gone, and the pain is much better. In fact, he's getting that "I think it's time to take Shadow out for a spin" look in his eyes.
I haven't done any quilting, sewing, crocheting, or anything since I finished Falicia's quilt. I have done a lot of reading. I'm almost finished with Atonement by Ian McEwan. Next up is The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski, which comes with high recommendations from Nicole of Sister's Choice Quilts and Stephen King of Bangor, Maine.

I don't know about B Complex for other things but I have neuralgia and it is kept under control as long as I take the B Complex every day. When I forget or stop for whatever reason, I can feel the affected nerve start up within a few dayas. As soon as I'm back on the B's, it stops. So it's definitely worth taking, imo!! Hope it works for you as well!

I don't know about B complex with pain, but my husband had terrible acid reflux disease. They even did surgery with no results. Then I read online about B complex and how it could get rid of the acid reflux disease. It worked! He still takes one every day and has for the past 9 years. AND he had no joint aches and pains. He is 61 years old and feels like 30. I on the other hand have chronic pain in my neck and back. So let me know if the Vitamin works...
Hugs

You'll have to tell us about the books you've been reading.
I do know that at the bookstore I work at, we got about eleventy billion copies of the Story of Edgar Sawtelle. It looks sort of interesting, but I'm not sure I'll read it. I see so many books every day. So many books, so little time.

We use B for both of my sons Dysautonomia, which fibromyalgia falls under. It keeps them going and pretty much pain free. We use high doses though to keep the Mitochondrial full of energy. When the Mitochondrial don't have enough energy, the body weekens.
Good luck!

My friend at work takes B12 vitamins and she thinks it helps her with her fibromyalgia, she also goes to the chiropractor regularly for acupuncture. She doesnt seem to have so many bads days as she once had. Some day there will be a cure! I am sorry you have to suffer with the pain. I just read 2 really good (different) books "Garden Spells" and "Sugar Queen" by Sarah Addison Allen
