This is the last major piece that I cross-stitched. It was 1993, and I stitched it while recuperating from spine surgery. I've found since that it's just too much trouble to try to see those little holes in the linen or even aida. Not worth the hassle. I'd rather be quilting.
Sophie had her annual physical yesterday and was declared fit as a fiddle. She has been gnawing her feet and legs a lot lately, so Dr. Rachel gave her a prescription for allergy. But considering that she suffered a major illness 15 months ago that nearly took her from us, we're happy as clams with her report. Way to go, Monkey Dog!
Vann and I went to Lowe's today to pick out the new light fixtures to go on our front porch when The Yellow House gets her new siding. There were so many choices, but we found some that we both agreed would look great.
When we were about to leave, Vann took a side trip over to the appliances, and I followed. He told me to pick me out a stove, which I did. I have the best husband in the whole world. I know I do. I have been unhappy with my stove for, like, ever. The oven is unpredictable, and the eyes are wobbly. Vann has told me time and again to go and get me another one, but I just haven't. So I guess he thought he'd just have to force the issue. I picked out a beautiful white electric range with a flat cooking surface and a large self-cleaning oven. It will be delivered tomorrow, just in time to do my bake-sale baking in it. Thank you, sweet husband. I'll cook you something extra special too.

Have fun cooking on your new stove, you will be wondering why it took you so long to pick one out.

New siding? Will The Yellow House still be yellow? Please say yes - because I am in love with your yellow house.
I'm sure you will love your new stove. I got a new one a few years ago, and I love it, too.

You will love having a flat top stove. I found that only flat bottomed pans heated properly on mine, but my kitchen-aides work beatifully.
Yeah for a good report at the vet! Our fur babies are so important.
