More Pots & Pitchers--Then Back to the Sofa

Mama's tea pot This teapot, cup, and saucer belonged to my mama. She loved roses and so do I. My sister, Joanne (Sister Un), gave me the little pink glass rabbit.

After that long dream sequence yesterday, I figure you don't want to read anything long today--and I don't want to write anything long, so we should get along fine.

I got up this morning with my run-over-by-a-truck syndrome, After a quick cup of coffee, I took the dogs out (Daisy is visiting this weekend). Well, I don't know what it was, but Sophie saw something across the street in the woods and made a dash for it. She knows she isn't supposed to cross the street without permission, and she usually obeys--but not this time. I went after her to the edge of the woods, stepped on a rock, turned my ankle, twisted my knee, and wrenched my hip. I didn't fall, just did a James Brown move, yelled, and said a bad word. Now my run-over-by-a-truck syndrome has evolved into a hit-by-the-orient-express episode. So here's one more photo, and it's back to the sofa. Hope everyone else has a better weekend than mine is beginning to be.
Cherry Pot
The cherry teapot came from a Southern Living prop sale back in the day. Mama crocheted the doily, and the white creamer and sugar bowl were Mama's. My sister Ramey (Sister Trois) gave me the little bunny pitchers, and the white platter came from the thrift store. The old suitcase is from a yard sale on Southside in Birmingham years ago.

You can click on the photos to enlarge them, but this new Typepad thing is making the pop-up photos humongous, so you probably won't be able to see all all the photo.

Now, Bye.

Oh Susan!!! I'm sorry you had to use a "sentence enhancer" word. Hope you aren't down for long and get some much needed recoup time. Can you sew like that? Or at least fondle fabric? That always makes me feel better(inside anyway).

Molly

Darn, I know that had to hurt. I've been known to slip in an expletive on occasions.

Love your pretties. And, take it easy so you feel better soon.

I don't really like the way the link function is working on the updated screen. A few things just don't seem to be quite right.

Hello Susan, I hope you are resting up after your terror driven morning. We have a black poodle that has tried to kill us with her jump starts. She has slowed down, as she is 15 now. Can't see or hear, but that hasn't stopped her much. We adore her of course.:)

I love your teapots and sugar and creamer, and the fact that they were your mom's is even more special. I have very cherished things from my mom too. One day I'll post some of them.

Be sure and stay on the couch and ease your wounds!

Jeanne
