We left the condo this morning at 7:30 and drove to Camilla, Georgia to visit with Vann's mom and dad. We thought, for some unknown reason, that it would be no more than a two-hour drive to Camilla from Panama City. Well, double that and you'll have it. We spent a total of about eight hours traveling and about three hours with the folks. But it was good to see them for even that little while. Poor Vann is exhausted, as he drove all the way.
Miss Biddy (Vann's mom) gave me an awesome surprise while we were there. I won't tell you what it is. You have to wait till I show pictures (see below for why I'm not showing photos now).
In fact, I have a lot of neat stuff to show you--treasures found at Quilting By the Bay and at the thrift stores we found yesterday as well as a wonderful and unusual house we saw today on the way to Camilla. I bet you've never seen one like it. But it's too much trouble to download photos here, so I'm going to wait until I get home to do my photo show and tell.
Only two more days, and we leave on Friday. We still have lots of books to read, so tomorrow will probably be a quiet day.

It all sounds wonderful, and I'm glad you got to visit with family.
You'll have to give us a report on all the books you've read.

Sounds as if you are enjoying your vacation Susan! I can't wait to hear more about the quilt shops and thrift shops. If you are like me, be prepared to be completely exhausted when you get home. I tell you, all I want to do is crawl into bed with a couple of good books and get up some time on Sunday.
