I woke up in the night last night and looked out the window. I saw a light dusting of snow on the lawn and bushes, and on the roof across the street. Vann stirred and asked me what I was doing. "It's snowing," I said. "Oh it's not," he answered and rolled over and went back to sleep. When I awoke to sunshine coming in the bedroom window this morning, I thought I had dreamed it. So I got up and looked out and it was snow, really and truly--a light dusting, just as the weatherman had predicted. (But he's never right.)
I decided this was a perfect morning to try out an idea I had for cinnamon biscuits, using the new sprinkles that I got with my Pampered Chef order. The biscuits were wonderful. I'm afraid we overdid it--we both had two biscuits.
Later, Lori and Daisy came by and brought us some homemade lasagna. She had a friend over for dinner last night and found she had made more lasagna than they could eat. I sure am glad. It looks wonderful. We'll have it for dinner tonight. Lori and I (and the dogs) had a nice visit while Vann went for a haircut and then to do something manly with Bob and Gene.
OK. So, well, tomorrow we spring forward, I guess. I hate Spring Forward Day. Doesn't it say something in the Constitution about people being born with the right to "life, liberty, and 24 hours in each and every day"? But at least it doesn't come on my birthday like it did last year. Missed it by one day this time.
Look what I already got in the mail yesterday. My friend Diane from the ClothPaperStudio Yahoo group sent it to me. Diane just loves all things froggy. I'm glad she shared her love with me with this great ATC. Thanks, Diane. It's a terrific card, a treasured addition to my ATC collection.
The sun has melted all the snow now, but it's still very cold outside. I hope to get that sewing done that I never got around to yesterday. My sister, Ramey, and I went to the Thrift Store yesterday afternoon instead. I'll show you the treasures I found later. I'll also show more rabbits as March wears on toward Easter. Y'all have a good weekend, ya hear?

Happy Birthday!!! I too hope it will be the bestest ever! Love your ATC and those cinnamon biscuits look terrific. Aud made some cinnamon waffles the other night; this kind of reminds me of that. She took some left over waffles, put sugar, butter and cinnamon on them and warmed them in the oven. Not too shabby, lol.

How did I miss your birthday???? This is what I get when I don't stop by for a while.
What's up with the snow? We had rain like nuts here, but my mom in Ohio said they got something like 17 inches.
I see you didn't care for "The Children of Men" much. I actually liked it, myself. Although I agree about the characters. P.D. James did a good job with Theo, but we didn't get to see much of Julian, et al. Maybe that was because it was half Julian's diary and half 3rd person? I think the 3rd person chapters would have been a good opportunity to tell us more about the others. Frankly, there should be a sequel to see what the 'new world' will be like!

Mercy! I have not made cinnamon biscuits in YEARS (at least 7) so your post was a memory jog. Hope your birthday was wonderful!
