Dan Fogelberg died of cancer today at his home in Maine. He was 56 years old. This man's music helped me get through one of the roughest periods of my life. He'll be missed.

How very sad. Dan Fogelberg is also a favorite of both my husband and me. After we got married we were combining our music collections and we had so many of the same albums including Dan Fogelberg. I said it was a good way to start a new marriage.

How sad...I didn't even realize he was ill. We still have his albums from college. Twin Sons from Different Mothers (with Tim Weisberg) is a favorite. Thank you for letting us know.

Oh I didn't realize this! So sad. I love his holiday music and was just listening to it on the way into work.

He had an amazing way about him. Believe in Me and Longer are two of my absolute favorite songs ever, also love Make Love Stay. It is sad when someone so talented leaves us too early, like my other favorite, John Denver. Their kind of music connects people to themselves in such tender and real ways.
Did you get your book yet(Certain Poor Shepherds)? I still haven't located mine yet but I don't need to be distracted by reading right now, too much stuff to get done!

Very sad news. I just love his Same Old Lang Syne song. I read once that he wrote it about meeting an old girlfriend in a convience store in Peoria, IL while visiting family there. He will be missed, very talented artist. I notice I've heard his Old Lang Syne song alot on radio today. Bless his heart...rest in peace Dan. Prayers to all of his loved ones in this rough time.
