We Did It, Y'all!

Banners_in_place

The Christmas banners are done and hanging in the sanctuary. I took it right down to the wire. I was stitching down binding while everyone else was hanging greenery and decorating the Christmon tree. Chuck B. graciously stayed a few minutes after everyone else had left to help Vann hang the banners when I was finally finished stitching.

The dedications for these two go thusly: "Star of Wonder" (left) made and given in loving memory of my niece, Jenny Cage. "The First Noel" (right) made and given in loving memory of my Mama, Mary Ramey.

Banner_susu_2 Thanks to all of you who gave me encouragement and faith in my abilities. Thanks to Vann for doing laundry, making the bed, keeping Sophie occupied, clipping threads and applying Fray Check to my boo-boos, and thanks to God for everything.

The carpet people are coming tomorrow to measure the living room, dining room, and master bedroom for new carpet. That's going to be our Anniversary/Christmas present. Today is our 13th anniversary. It's dreary and chilly here, so instead of going out, we're going to order a pizza and watch a movie off of PPV.

Starting tomorrow (I've had one day of rest), I start cleaning up and organizing the sewing room and my office. Both are disaster areas, very nonconducive to creativity.

Thanks again all. I couldn't have done it without you.

The banners are magnificent. Thanks so much, Suze, for the dedication of the beautiful Star of Wonder in memory of my Jenny. Also for the dedication in memory of our mama. They are worthy and lovely tributes. And I add my thanks and appreciation for the mind-boggling amount of work, skill and imagination you put into this project.

Marvelous - incredible - a wonderful memory to two special people in your life. How very blessed your church is to receive these from you. I can't begin to imagine how totally exhausted and burned out you must feel. And how relieved all at the same time.

A very happy anniversary to you and Vann!

Just truly stunning!! Very lovely!

Just a FYI--have the carpet laid when you are rested because moving all that stuff is not fun! Ask me how I know. . .

I can't believe you did all that by yourself! Where are all the Methodist seamstresses when you need 'em?
You deserve a medal!

The banners are just exquisite! I am in awe of your work. I often sit in church and 'study' the banners and wonder how the lady who makes them does it all so well. ~Adrienne~
